You see it before you pay a penny

Your competitors are on Google.
You're not.

People look you up before they call. Find nothing, they call the next guy. I build the site that stops that — and I keep it running.

I build your homepage first. You decide after you've seen it.

The bit nobody mentions

You don't hear about the jobs you didn't get.

A missed call rings. A customer who found nothing and phoned someone else makes no sound at all. That's why this never feels urgent.

It's usually one job a month. Work out what one job is worth to you.

In every site

Not a template with your name on it.

All of it, in the base price, on both options. No tier where the obvious thing costs extra.

  • It loads instantly

Under a second on a phone. Most take five or six — people leave first.

  • Your number is a button

One tap dials you. No copying, no pasting, no giving up.

  • Hours, area and prices

At the top, in plain words. "Open until 8pm" beats a contact form.

  • Built for the phone first

Four in five customers see it on a phone. That's the version I design first.

  • Set up to be found

Your hours, phone and rating show up in the Google result itself.

  • Messages land in your inbox

Straight to your email. No dashboard, no app, no login.

  • The padlock, and a real domain

HTTPS from day one, registered to your business. No builder subdomain.

  • You can see if it's working

How many came, how many tapped to call. No cookie banner.

  • Readable by everyone

Proper contrast, text that scales, works with a screen reader.

The part after launch

A website is not the job.
Keeping it true is the job.

Most small-business sites are accurate for about four months. Then prices change and nobody fixes it. On the monthly, that's mine to deal with.

  • Your Google listing, done properly

Claimed, verified, hours, service area, photos. For a local business it drives more calls than the website does.

  • Changes are a text message

New price, new hours, photo of yesterday's job. You text me, it's live the same day. No charge, no ticket.

  • Hosting, security and backups

It stays up and stays fast. If something breaks I usually know before you do.

  • Getting reviews, and answering them

A link that makes leaving a review a ten-second job. I help you answer them — including the bad one.

  • A domain and an email that match

Registered to you, plus you@yourbusiness.com if you want it. A quote from a Hotmail address costs you jobs.

  • A plain monthly note

Three numbers and a sentence. Not a twelve-page PDF nobody opens.

If you need it

Add what your business actually uses.

None of it required. The prices are here so nobody puts you on the spot.

  • Extra pagesServices, about, gallery, an area page per town$75 each
  • Online bookingCustomers book a slot themselves; syncs to your calendar$150
  • Menu or price listProper menu page you can change yourself in a minute$100
  • Online ordering or a shopTake payment on the site, with real checkoutfrom $400
  • Photo sessionA couple of hours shooting your work, your van, your shop$150
  • LogoIf you haven't got one, or yours is a Word Art from 2004$200
  • Google Ads, managedSet up and watched weekly. Your ad budget is separate and goes to Google, not me$200 /month

On the monthly, add-ons are one-off. Your monthly doesn't move.

Your options

I'm not the only way to do this.

All four are fine for somebody. Here's the honest version, including where I'm the wrong answer.

How the options compare on time, cost, and who maintains the site
Do it yourselfWix, Squarespace, GoDaddy Someone you knowA relative, a friend's kid A design agencyThe proper firm in the city webpage.contact
What it costs $16–49/mo, plus your time Free, or a favour owed $3,000–10,000 up front $650 once, or $65/mo
Your time in it A weekend, then more weekends Chasing them Several meetings About ten minutes
Live in Whenever you finish it Eventually 6–12 weeks About a week
Changing it later You, in the builder Ask again, wait again Billed hourly Text me, same day
Google listing set up Your job Unlikely Usually extra Included
When it breaks Support chat Nobody Support contract Me, usually first
You own the domain Sometimes Whoever signed up Yes Yes, always

Where I'm the wrong answer: enjoy building it yourself? Use a builder, it's cheaper. Need a thousand-product store, or a brand designed from scratch? Pay the agency. I'm for getting a good site up fast and then not thinking about it.

Your domain is in your business's name from day one, on both options. Walk away and you take the address with you.

How it goes

You see it before you decide.

  1. You tell me what you do

Name, trade, town, number. Two minutes, by text if that's easier.

  2. I build your homepage

Your actual homepage, with your services and prices. Two days, no charge.

  3. You look at it and say what's wrong

Change anything, or walk away and keep it. You've lost nothing.

  4. It goes live in about a week

Domain, hosting, Google listing. After that, changes are a message away.

Questions

The things you're actually thinking.

I haven't got time for this.

Ten minutes, once. I write the words and take the details off your Facebook page and your truck. Reacting to a finished page is quick — describing one from scratch is what takes all day.

What if I don't like it?

Then you don't pay — you haven't paid anything yet. That's why the mock-up comes first.

Do I actually own it?

The domain, always — in your business's name from day one, either option. Buy outright and you own the files too. On the monthly you're renting the build, and can buy it out whenever.

What's the catch on the monthly?

There isn't a clever one. I make less now and more over two years; you get a site with no upfront bill. The trade is you're renting it. If owning it matters, take the $650.

I've got no photos.

Most people don't. Photos off your phone beat stock every time, and the page works without any until you have some. Want me to come take them? $150.

My nephew said he'd do it.

He might, and if he does it well, good. Usually it sits 80% finished for a year because nobody wants to chase family. That's normally when people call me.

I've already got a website.

Send me the address. If it's fine, I'll tell you it's fine. If it's slow or unreadable on a phone, I'll show you side by side and you can judge.

Am I locked into the monthly?

No. Cancel whenever — no notice, no exit fee. The site comes down, the domain stays yours, and you can take it anywhere.

Will I actually get more work out of it?

I can't promise jobs, and be careful of anyone who does. What I can tell you every month is how many people came and how many tapped to call. You judge whether it pays for itself.

No cost, no commitment

Tell me what you do.
I'll show you what it'd look like.

Two days, no charge, no obligation. Like it, we talk. Don't, keep it anyway.

Goes straight to me. No mailing list, and I won't ring you out of the blue.
